Fuel Your Brain

Eat EGGS for the choline in them.  It helps with brain function. 

Eat SALMON for the omega-3 fatty acids. These promote overall brain health.

Eat BLUEBERRIES for the epicatechin.  It helps your focus.

Treadmill Tip

Got this from my gym’s Facebook wall this morning:

Tilt a Tad: Stand tall as you run, but deliberately lean your whole body slightly forward from the ankles. This slant in your stance allows gravity to propel you ahead with each step. It helps increase your speed with minimal effort so you can tirelessly torch more calories.

Coffee vs. Energy Drink???

Apparently, coffee gives you a “natural” boost and has less calories.  It also doesn’t hurt that coffee beans are known to have antioxidants.  Add a splash of non-fat milk, and you’re getting protein.  Plus, coffee tastes amazing! ;)

Q: How much should I stretch before a workout?

A: For me, 4-5 minutes of a hearty warm-up helps to not only improve workout performance, but also prevent injury.
